I love group fitness classes, of course! I also love hiking or going for long walks in the evening.
What I like most about group fitness
I love seeing people change because they are willing to challenge themselves. I also love the people I meet in classes. I can honestly say that most of my best friends have come from my classes and I can't imagine life without them. If you are willing to say hi to a new person in class, you never know, they just might become a close friend.
You can do anything for a short period of time. And what doesn't challenge you, will not change you.
Advice to GroupFit newbies
Keep coming even when you don't feel like it. Change will happen, but it doesn't happen overnight. When it gets uncomfortable that's when your body is changing so you must stay in the heat to get what you’re looking for.
Also, give each class 3-4 times before deciding whether or not you like it. It takes some time to get the hang of each class so never compare yourself to someone else. We all come for different reasons but be open to trying new things. I became an instructor because I was a participant first and fell in love with the Les Mills classes and I've never looked back. Maybe you'll want to become an instructor too, you never know.
